Hello! I’m alive! And I survived my first full week of camp with campers!!!
I’m exhausted, yes. I’m mentally and physically spent. Things were hectic and crazy and sometimes extremely frustrating and nervewracking this week, but all in all it was an amazing past couple of days
Working at a summer residence camp is truly a joy. Things are insane almost all the time, but in both good and bad ways. I’ve met some wonderful girls this week and I am enamored with my coworkers. I love being able to affect the lives of growing girls in a positive way and I am so excited that I get to have a blast and do the things I love along the way
I am so lucky to have this job and I learn more and more about myself and being a working adult every day. I’m still figuring it all out— which is both a pleasure and a challenge. But overall, I am thrilled to be working as this summer’s creative arts manager and even though my voice sounds like a boy and I have more bug bites than I ever thought humanly possible, I can’t imagine spending my upcoming summer any other way :)
